I love seeing the turkeys walking around the yard. They are really big! Males can be almost three feet long. Do you know what we call a male turkey? He is called a 'tom'. If you look closely, you can see a but of hair sticking out of his chest. That is called his beard. It feels like wire or very coarse hair like you would find on a horses tail.
